Arhar Dal Tadka Recipe – How to make Dhaba Style Dal Tadka?

So, today we will know the secret of dhaba to fry dal… To make it, we need some of these ingredients…

Preparation Time – 10M

Cook Time – 30M

Total Time – 40M

Supplies:-

  • Toor Dal: 3/4 cup (100 grams)
  • Water: 31/2 cup
  • Ghee/Butter: 2 teaspoons
  • Mustard (mustard): 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin: 1 teaspoon
  • Dry red chili: 1 teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves: 8-10 leaves
  • Asafoetida (asafoetida): 1 pinch
  • Onion: 1 (chopped)
  • Green chili: 2 (cut from the middle)
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri red chilli (kashmiri res chilli powder): 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato: 2 chopped
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon (as per taste)
  • Garam masala: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves: Chopped
  • Kasturi Methi (dry fenugreek leaves): 1 teaspoon

Recipe:-

1.First of all wash the dal and put it in a pressure cooker.

2. Then put 3 cups of water in it and put a little salt in it and put it on medium flame for 5 whistles.

3. Then place the pan on the other side and put ghee and pulses in it. Then add cumin, mustard, dry red chili, asafoetida and curry leaves and fry it for a while.

4. Then put chopped onion in it and fry it for a while.

5. Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder and coriander powder and fry it.

6. After that put tomatoes in it and cook.

7. Then mix the dal once, then put it in the pan.

8. And put the remaining half cup of water in it. And cook it for 5 minutes.

9. Then heat garam masala, salt as per taste and musk fenugreek a little and keep it on hand and smash it and add it to the dal.

Then take it out in a bowl and put coriander leaves on top of it. And our Dhaba Style Dal Fry Tadka is ready.

Suggestion:

  • Cook the dal well in the pressure cooker.
  • Use only ghee or butter to fry the pulses.
  • If the dal looks too thick, you can use a little more water.
