Educational Qualifications

Senior Technical Associates (STA) in the Civil Engineering Department (Works): A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in (a) Civil Engineering OR (b) a combination of any substream of the Basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognised university/institute is required.
Senior Technical Associates (STA) in the Signal and Telecommunication Department: A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in (a) Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering or M.Sc Electronics or (b) A combination of any sub-stream of the primary stream of Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering from a recognised University/ Institute is required.
Junior Technical Associates (JTA) in the Signal & Telecommunication Department: (a) Three years of Diploma in (a) Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering or (b) A combination of any substream of basic Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering from a recognised University/ Institute.
Electrical Department Senior Technical Associates (STA): A four-year bachelor’s degree in (a) mechanical/electrical/electronics engineering or (b) a combination of any substream of the fundamental streams of mechanical/electrical/electronics/engineering from a recognised university/institute is required.

Selection Process

Senior Technical Associate: The candidate will be shortlisted and called for screening and original document verification based on the ‘GATE score’ obtained in any of the GATE examinations held in the previous 05 years (i.e. between the years 2019 and 2023) in a ratio of 1:1 to the number of vacancies in the Senior Technical Associates category.
Junior Technical Associate: Based on the “percentage marks” earned throughout the three-year diploma programme in a ratio of 1:1 to the number of openings in the Junior Technical Associate category, the candidate will be shortlisted and contacted for screening and original document verification. If candidates with a graduate degree in engineering or another educational requirement for the post of STA apply for the position of JTA, their percentage marks in those qualifications will be taken into consideration, and they will be treated equally with candidates with the requirement for the JTA position without any preference or special treatment.
